I’m grateful for falling back.

I’m grateful that the change in Daylight Savings Time gave us an extra hour of sleep on a chilly night.

When we awoke this morning, we hit the trifecta:

✓ part of a rainbow hanging in the early fog,

✓ new snow dusting the mountaintop,

✓ and the early sun setting crimson leaves ablaze.

I was feeling so grateful for this perfect, triangular view of our neighborhood that I thought there wouldn’t be space for more joy in the moment.

Then a pair of Canada geese went honking overhead, and I felt especially blessed.
