I find sometimes that joy is elusive.

I seek; happiness is hidden. It hasn’t left — I   just haven’t found the way to tap it yet.

So, when life delivers something heavy, I look for ways to lighten the load.

Today, I’m launching a 5-week plan for finding the joy in everyday. (Using the compound here for a reason; it beats quotidian, a word that always puzzles.)

I’m beginning by looking up.  There’s joy in blue sky and tulip magnolias on an unusually sparkly day in Portland.

Look for an update here every Sunday, as I chart progress on my search for joy in the everyday.
