… meeting happy travelers, from Michigan to Texas, while enjoying the “unseasonably warm temperature” in San Francisco.

Gratitude is discovering sunflowers growing in the one of the poorest neighborhoods in the city, struggling in an abandoned garden, amid urban decay.

Gratitude is watching blossoms beginning to unfurl on the tulip magnolia tree outside our window — in January! — and marveling at a pair of wild parrots swooping into the neighborhood, with all their brash colors and squawking.

And gratitude, sweet gratitude, is just being back in San Francisco, one of our favorite cities.
