Walking the waterfront in Bellingham, Washington, today was literally a double-sided blessing.
On one side, a glorious sunset illuminating Lummi Island, and on the other, a rainbow.
Gleeful that a light rain had produced such beauty, I was wondering if the light could get any better, at day’s end.
The answer: the extraordinary appearance of a double rainbow, and the hint of a rare, faint-as-mist, third arc of color over the city.
I end my visit here with lasting gratitude for this universal symbol of hope.
