When I feel as if I can’t bear … (fill in the blanks) … I walk.
I walk to think more clearly, to meditate in motion, to put purpose to my limbs, and, always, calm my brain-in-overdrive.
A snow shower hit partway through my walk yesterday, just as I was passing a row of red rosebuds, now sprinkled with ice drops.
I’ve been marveling at those velvety petals since the start of winter, always grateful for their resilience.
I am thankful for grounded beauty in the midst of a storm.
